Mary Lou Knight - Vice-President

  • Assisted her husband, Bill (Lakewood's President), in the insurance business for over 20 years.
  • Administrator of Global Herd Network which tracks livestock in real time during transportation and in-situ.
  • Obtained her BS from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN, an MS in education from Eastern Illinois University, and an MS in administration also from Eastern Illinois University.
  • Retired teacher at the Oakwood School District with 20 years of experience and served on various education committees that strove to bring change to the school system.

Community Involvement
  • Active member of the praise team at Second Church of Christ in Danville, IL for over 30 years.
  • Facilitator of the Divorce Care program at Second Church of Christ for over 20 years.
  • Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children in Vermilion County, IL.
  • Also, Mary Lou deeply loves being the Nana to their 11 grandchildren.
